Zazen is a unique and luxurious accommodation situated on the stunning East Coast of Barbados, known for its spectacular scenery. It is the first of its kind in this remarkable location, delivering a modern and upscale experience. The architectural style of Barbados architect Doug Luke is characterized by a distinctive chalet-esque industrial loft design. The two-level living area spans 6,000 square feet and is located in the middle of Barbados’ rustic East Coast, making it a notable landmark.

The shared eating and living areas have sleek design and precise craftsmanship, using stainless steel, concrete, stone, and timber materials. Additional architectural and interior design elements consist of adjustable slatted panels and spacious sliding doors made from resilient Sipo mahogany wood. The outdoor dining area, which can accommodate eight people, is situated in an open-air setting and features a fire pit and barbeque. The interior boasts lofty 30-foot ceilings, and the kitchen is equipped with cutting-edge stainless-steel appliances that seamlessly blend into the surrounding cabinetry.

Zazen’s interiors are filled with ocean light and breezes, creating a cool and airy atmosphere. The neutral palette of greys and browns, along with dazzling white walls, reflect the shimmering waves and multi-colored semi-precious stones that decorate every area of the house.

The ground level has two wings, both situated on opposite ends. One wing includes a beachfront suite, while the other has a loft bedroom with a lounge space. These rooms share a lavishly equipped bathroom, complete with a double vanity, a bathtub, and a rain shower. Additionally, both wings provide convenient access to the pool and beach.

The top floor master guest suite provides a private and secluded lifestyle, featuring a wet bar, walk-in closet, office space, a mini home theatre, and a round soaking bath. Additionally, there is a daybed on a private outdoor terrace that overlooks the outdoor al fresco dining and entertaining area, pool deck, and beachfront.
