Bromefield Estate

The Bromefield Estate is in the north of the island, close to Port St. Charles and Speightstown. This makes it easy to get to beaches, restaurants, and boats. Bromefield used to belong to Sir Charles Williams, but these days it is used as a stud. There, Sir Charles raised his racehorses and polo ponies for many years while he was the best breeder in Barbados. The land could easily be used for farming again if it had its own watering well.

Bromefield House is a large and beautiful old house in the middle of 50 acres of land that offers complete peace and safety. The house is in a beautiful area with paddocks, old trees, and a pond. There is a drive that leads up to it that is lined with Foxtail Palms and Frangipani trees. In front of the house are formal grounds, and in the back is a garden with a pool. To the east, across the pond, lawns lead away from the house. The house was built in 1664 and has been carefully restored to offer 9,352 square feet of living space with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and sash windows, hoods, and shutters in the traditional way. The first floor has all of these features. Some parts of the ground floor have been kept, and it has high ceilings and wooden floors. Along with the main house, there is a guest bedroom suite, a one-bedroom guest cottage, and a two-bedroom Coach House, for a total of 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

There are a number of outbuildings, including a big barn that was recently used as a horse barn and could be used for other purposes. To the south of the property, there are also three houses with their own pools. Two of them have three bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the third has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. They can be reached by a different driveway. At the moment, these homes are hired long-term.
